Post COVID, the Small Christian Communities are struggling in some areas but doing quite well in others. Our dedicated SCC Animators are trying their best to revive the SCCs. Monthly meetings and solving local issues is on the forefront. Most of them are leading their SCC to regular animation of the Sunday Mass.
If you are new to our Parish and wondering how to get in touch with your SCC Animator, please get in touch with Fr Sebastiraj, Parish Priest.
With the words of St Paul to the Corinthians "For we are God’s servants, working together; you are God’s field, God’s building." our SCC Animators continue to serve and animate their area, for which we are very grateful.

"The Church gives thanks for all the manifestations of the feminine "genius" which have appeared in the course of history, in the midst of all peoples and nations; she gives thanks for all the charisms which the Holy Spirit distributes to women in the history of the People of God, for all the victories which she owes to their faith, hope and charity: she gives thanks for all the fruits of feminine holiness."

Catechists have a vocation...a calling from the Lord rooted in Baptism to carry out His mandate to teach the Gospel. The General Directory for Catechesis tells us that "The Church awakens and discerns this divine vocation and confers the mission to catechize. The Lord Jesus invites men and women, in a special way, to follow him, teacher and formator of disciples." (GDC 231)

We are grateful for the monthly Family Offering for the ongoing maintenance and development of our parish. The envelope collection has provided us with the necessary funds to carry out our recent renovations.
The Community Development Fund (CDF) operates to carry out community development projects through monthly community investments from the parishioners. It is an appropriate tool for offering educational, health, mental and spiritual improvements of living standards in a participatory manner.
The CDF used completely for the welfare of the parish community. Of the total amount received, the expenditure is done as per the following
25% - Education,
20% - Health,
15% - Training and Ongoing Formation,
40% - Church Maintenance (Repairs, Electricity, Water Bills, Telephone, Internet Charges and Taxes).
We are grateful for our SCC Area Collectors who voluntarily collect the amount from each family in the parish every month. May God reward them a hundredfold in return.

The Parish Choir is a happy amalgam of young and not-so-young singers. These committed and dedicated groups are proficient either in leading the congregation in common hymns or in rendering sacred hymns and religious music written for 4 voices.
The Choirs do duty by rotation at Holy Week Services, the Christmas & New Year Midnight Masses and at important parish celebrations e.g. Feasts of St. Francis de Sales, Birthday of Our Lady, among others. There have been several special occasions, viz. funerals, anniversaries and jubilees, where the Choirs have made the liturgical services more meaningful.
The Choirs are self-supportive and generate their own finance from engagements in singing at weddings in and out of the Parish. Recalling the dictum “He who sings, prays twice”, parishioners are invited to join the Choirs in their ministry of sacred music. You need not be a Maria Callas or a Luciano Pavarotti to praise God in song… but it helps!
