Opera DUET Card

The 2015-2016 School Year will be the pilot for the Opera DUET (Developing Understanding and Education for Teachers) Card. It is the desire of this curriculum focused approach to ensure all participating classroom teachers are given the educational materials needed to successfully partner with a Teaching Artist in the Opera ARIA Network Program.

The DUET Card is organized into six "umbrella" categories, with several subcategories to breakdown opera essentials. The six umbrella categories are:

1. Introduction to Opera

2. Opera ARIA/Arts Integration

3. Libretto/Story Writing

4. Music Composing

5. Visual Design

6. Performing
