Subdivision Entry Refresh
You may have noticed that there is landscape work taking place at the subdivision entryway. This work is ongoing as part of the upkeep of the common grounds. Our entry was designed and installed approximately 30 years ago and is overgrown and in need of some TLC. This plan was initiated by many comments from residents wanting the entry to be updated to better represent the subdivision. The project includes the following:
· Removal of trees in the interior island (diseased and overgrown) · Replacement of the irrigation control box (weather damaged)
· Removal of ivy, vines & saplings growing in spruce trees · Removal of bushes around front trees and entry wall
· Cleaning of the mold and rust on the entry wall · Adjustment to sprinklers at entry wall
· Review and adjustment of the lighting to highlight the entry wall · Repair of the entry lamp post
Volunteer Needed
The Board is seeking a volunteer to be responsible for the setup and takedown of Christmas lighting at the subdivision entrance for the coming 25-26 Christmas season. Anyone interested should email their interest to the SLE email listed below. The Board wishes to thank Mike & Mary Beth Penney for their many years of service as volunteers in this area of responsibility. Thank you, Mike & Mary Beth.
Yard & Street Maintenance Reminder
Pursuant to Bylaws Article VI, Sec. 3, item (g), Garbage and trash shall be kept only in a sanitary container within the Co-owners garage and may not be put out for collection any earlier than the evening before the day scheduled for collection. Please keep the end of your drive, curb, and drains clean and free of debris for drainage purposes. SLE Camper & Trailer Policy (Exception Policy, Revised, 1/9/2026, document available below)
The SLE Bylaws DO NOT ALLOW Campers/RVs/Motorhomes and Trailers (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) to be parked or stored at any residence within the Seymour Lake Estates unless parked in the garage with the door closed. (ARTICLE VI, Sec. 7)
Historically for a number of years, pursuant to a Board decision, an unauthorized Exception policy has allowed Campers/RVs/Motorhomes and Trailers (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) to remain in home owner's driveways between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
If planning on parking a Campers/RV's/Motorhomes and Trailers (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) in a driveway during "off season" time periods for prepping or post camping activities, special trailering needs, etc., please contact the Board by email at SLE48348@gmail.com to obtain permission.
Any Campers/RV's/Motorhomes and Trailers (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) that are found to be parked or stored in Seymour Lake Estates outside of the recognized "season" or without owner request and notification of Board approval through email are subject to notification of violation which can carry with it fines and penalties as defined in SLE Bylaws (Article XX Section 2 & 3). Fines will be assessed every 10 days consistent with the SLE Bylaws, if a violation occurs.
Owner(s) can have only one (1) first offense of this policy, without regard to season-to-season time frames (no seasonal re-starts). Any violations of this policy after the first, over any period of time, will be considered a "continuation" of the original (1st) violation, not a new violation. Fines will be assessed, pursuant to the schedule outlined in the Bylaws, Article XX, Section 3, based on the numerical total of violations which have occurred up to and including newest violation.
