Subdivision Entry Refresh
You may have noticed that there is landscape work taking place at the subdivision entryway. This work is ongoing as part of the upkeep of the common grounds. Our entry was designed and installed approximately 30 years ago and is overgrown and in need of some TLC. This plan was initiated by many comments from residents wanting the entry to be updated to better represent the subdivision. The project includes the following:
· Removal of trees in the interior island (diseased and overgrown)
· Replacement of the irrigation control box (weather damaged)
· Removal of ivy growing in spruce trees
· Removal of bushes around front trees and entry wall (causing damage to wall and overgrown)
· Cleaning of the mold and rust on the entry wall
· Adjustment to sprinklers at entry wall (causing water damage and rust)
· Review and adjustment of the lighting to highlight the entry wall and Repair of the entry lamp post

Yard & Street Maintenance Reminder
Pursuant to Bylaws Article VI, Sec. 3, item (g), Garbage and trash shall be kept only in a sanitary container within the Co-owners garage and may not be put out for collection any earlier than the evening before the day scheduled for collection. Please keep the end of your drive, curb, and drains clean and free of debris for drainage purposes. Consider spraying to kill or removal of grass/weeds in the road cracks to prevent further deterioration of the roadways.
SLE Camper & Trailer Policy
In an effort to maintain consistency in the application of the SLE bylaws, Campers/RV's/Motorhomes and Trailers (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) are NOT to be stored in a year round manner in the SLE subdivision.
The practice has been to allow Campers/RV's/Motorhomes and Trailers (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) to remain in homeowner's driveways between Memorial Day and Labor Day. This seems to accommodate the majority of homeowner's needs.
To that end, all Campers/RV's/Motorhomes and Trailers (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) need to be removed from SLE no later than 2 days after Labor Day. Should a special circumstance arise, please contact the Board through email ( sle48348@gmail.com ).
If planning on parking a Camper/RV's/Motorhomes and Trailer (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) in a driveway during "off season" time periods for prepping or post camping activities, please contact the Board by email ( sle48348@gmail.com ). Standard practice has been to allow 2 days prior to the trip and 2 days post trip.
Any Campers/RV's/Motorhomes and Trailers (utility, flatbed, boat or otherwise) that are found to be parked or stored in SLE outside of the recognized "season" or without notification through email are subject to notification of violation which can carry with it fines and penalties as defined in SLE Bylaws (Article XX Section 2 & 3). Fines will be assessed every 10 days consistent with the SLE Bylaws, if a violation occurs. (Printable version under Available Documents)
Owner(s) can have only one (1) first offense of this policy, without regard to season to season time frames (no seasonal re-starts). Any violations of this policy after the first, over any period of time, will be considered a "continuation" of the original (1st) violation, not a new violation. These continuing violations will not be eligible for a meeting with the Board (Bylaws, Article XX, Section 2) as this opportunity would have been afforded and/or completed on the occasion of the initial violation. Fines will be assessed, pursuant to the schedule outlined in Bylaws, Article XX, Section 3, based on the numerical total of violations which have occurred up to and including newest violation.
