Serran Prayer for Vocations I

O God, Who wills not the death of a sinner, but rather that he be converted and live. Grant we beseech you, through the intercession of the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin, Saint Joseph her spouse, Blesssed Junipero Serra and all the saints, an increase of laborers for your Church, fellow laborers with Christ to spend and consume themselves for souls through the same Jesus Christ Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You, In the unity of the Holy Spirit. God forever and ever. Amen.

Serran Prayer for Vocations II

O good and gracious God, you call each Serran to be a faithful follower of your Son, Jesus.

Grant us, we pray, an increase of committed persons who will respond to your call to service in your church; men eager to serve in the ministerial priesthood; men and women eager to serve in the consecrated life.

We make this petition through the intercession of Blessed Mary, Mother of God, St. Joseph, her spouse, Blessed Junipero Serra and all the Saints. And we pray, as always, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer for the Perserverance of Vocations

O God, You have constituted Your only-begotten Son supreme and eternal Priest for the glory of Your majesty and the salvation of mankind: grant that those whom He has chosen ministers and dispensers of His mysteries may be found faithful in fulfilling the ministry they have received. Amen

Diocesan Prayer for Vocations

O Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal High Priest and Source of all grace, multiply vocations among us! The harvest is still great, the laborers few. Bless our diocese with many and holy priests. Give us fervent religious and a generous spirit in our families, so that we may honor You in Your church and may help spread Your kingdom to the ends of the earth - to the Glory of God, through the salavation of souls. Amen!

Capuchin Vocation Prayer

God our Father, You call us as your people to be of service to others. We are thankful for the graces You so generously bestow upon us. Look kindly now upon Your Church and grant us an increase of vocations to the priesthood and religuos life. May Your Spirit, which so filled and guided the life of St. Francis, touch the hearts of more young men that they might answer your call to serve in the Capuchin way of life. And may the example and goodness of the Capuchin friars be a source of strength and inspiration for all lin living the Gospel Life. Amen

Sign of the Cross

O God who desires all men to be happy and each to save his soul, stir up the grace of a holy vocation in the hearts of many within our parish. Grant to them, through the hands of Your Immaculate Mother, the willingness and generosity to give of themselves, their life, their time and talents, to the service of Jesus Christ, your Son, Our Lord and Savior, and to His Holy Church. May more young men and women go from this parish as priests, brothers, and sisters to bring the truths of our Catholic Faith to all others so that soon they, too, may know You better and love You more... and serving You, be truly happy and save their souls. Amen.

Recite the Hail Mary together.

Our Lady, Queen of Vocations, pray for us.

Bless us O Lord, and these Your gifts which we are about to receive from Your bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
