Biography & CV

I am originally from Recife, Brazil. 

In 2007, I started my undergrad at the Federal University of Pernambuco. During my undergrad years, I worked on the Middle Wittgenstein's Philosophy of Mathematics and later on the Grundgedanke of Tractatus. 

After that, in 2011 I moved to Rio de Janeiro in order to do my Master at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where I worked on rule-following, normativity of meaning and naturalist theories of mental content (in particular, teleosemantics).  

In 2013, I moved back to Recife when I was a Temporary Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, Federal University of Pernambuco.

Finally, in 2014 I moved to London to do my PhD at King's College London and work on teleosemantics and the naturalisation of intentionality with Prof. David Papineau. I passed my PhD viva in November, 2018.

In 2019, I was a postdoc at the University of São Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil.  Between 2019 and 2022, I was a postdoc  at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.  

Now I am  a Professor of Philosophy ("Professor Adjunto A ") at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco and Permanent Professor ("Professor Permanente") of the  Postgraduate Studies in Philosophy at the Federal University of Pernambuco in my hometown, Recife
