Research topics but not limited to
- Nanomaterials for Lithium-ion batteries
- Mechanics of electrode materials (e.g Silicon anode)
- Mechanical interaction between the electrode and electrolyte
- Electrochemical energy harvesting, etc.
Ph.D. candidates (for Jan./Aug. 2026 or Jan. 2027 intake)
- Preferred major (but not limited) are EE, ME, MSE, or CHE
- Successful candidates will receive scholarship for PhD study including tuition and living cost.
- Most of PhD candidates receive the degree in 4~5 years (but not guaranteed).

About NTU EEE
Established in 1981, the SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and strong tradition in research. To support teaching and cutting-edge research, EEE is host to 11 research centres and more than 50 laboratories, which are well-equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment.
