I am originally from Colombia South America. I came to the United States when I was 13 years old. I lived in New York for 5 years, and then I moved back to Colombia to complete my last year of high school, and after graduating I moved back to the United States. I went to Millersville University for both my bachelor's degree and my master's degree in Spanish Education. When I first became a teacher I taught at McCaskey for 3 years, and then I found my true home, Elizabethtown.
I am married to Mr. Michael Jennings, an elementary school teacher in the Ephrata Area School District, and we have two wonderful children, Celeste who is 21 years old, and Julián who is 16 years old. We have 3 pets, our dog Tito, our dog Phoebe, and our cat Chancho.
I recently obtained a supervisory certification in curriculum and instruction, and I may pursue a doctorate in the field of Education. My long-term professional goal is to work at the Department of Education to fight for diversity and equity, although in between raising a family, teaching full-time, and grad school, I would like to take art and dance classes, implement an elementary school world language program, and start a community world-language program as well.
