Known for its historic covered bridges, Cottage Grove is a friendly, family-oriented small town which is located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley. Cottage Grove’s population is just over 10,000, while the South Lane School District serves a population of over 16,000. Once a timber dependent community, Cottage Grove has successfully diversified its economy. Industries include secondary wood products manufacturing as well as professional services and a variety of agricultural and small manufacturing businesses. Community members pulled together to build a new hospital, high school, elementary school and an economic development district, all of which led to the designation of an All-American City!

We are a public high school with an enrollment of approximately 750 students. We are accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. Students are encouraged to take college level classes while still in high school. Workplace learning is offered at CGHS including internships, job shadows, and work experience.

Athletically, the Cottage Grove High School Lions participate in the 4A Sky-Em League. Our colors are blue and gold.
