  • Can you still letter this year? YES! Even as a Junior.

    • Once you earn 280 points (10 of which must be from extracurricular programs related to STEM Society) and have taken (or are enrolled in) 4 years of science you are eligible to Letter!

      • We will hold another ceremony at the end of the year.

      • Keep your personal Letter In Science points sheet up to date!

      • Sign in for all meetings and events.

      • Work toward high grades in science classes.

      • Sign up for 4 years of science.

      • Be amazing!

      • Schedule a time after school before Thursday March 2 to collect your materials and practice your demo

      • STEM Society - March 29th

      • 5 hands-on science activity stations in library

      • Executive Board will be in charge of brainstorming for each station, collecting materials and coordinating.

Deb Wines Madagascar Trip (See meeting notes from last meeting for info)

    • Attn. Montana Sophomore Students - Apply for Washington Aerospace Scholars!

    • In collaboration with the Museum of Flight, NASA, and the University of Washington, the Washington Aerospace Scholars program is coming to Montana! Apply for this free dual-phase program that focuses on Earth & Space Science. This experience exposes students to the opportunity to work face-to-face with professional engineers, NASA scientists, university students and educators. Students who successfully complete the online course will be invited to participate in a free STEM-focused experience August 6-8, 2017 at the Montana Learning Center at Canyon Ferry Lake near Helena.

MedStart Summer Camp 2017


WHO SHOULD APPLY?: Sophomores and Juniors interested in learning more about healthcare!


WHY?: To learn more about the exciting field of HEALTHCARE!


WHEN IS THE CAMP?: There are FIVE different camps across Montana to choose from.

· Missoula – June 11-15

· Billings – June 25-29

· Great Falls – July 9-13

· Miles City – July 16-20

· Butte – July 23-27


WHAT WILL STUDENTS DO WHILE AT CAMP?:

· Students will stay on a Montana campus during their 5 day stay.

· They will have the opportunity to job shadow a healthcare professional of their interest.

· Tour local hospitals, clinics and college campuses.

· HANDS-ON activities like suturing, dissections, mock rescues, CPR training and MORE!

Get Money for Your Chemistry Classroom

The ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Classroom Grant is now accepting applications until April 14! Start thinking about what you could use $1,500 for in your classroom; lab equipment, classroom materials, professional development, student-conducted field studies, or student-led outreach events are some of the grant requests that have been funded.
