Scholar Athlete Program

The Section 2 Girls Basketball Committee presented the first Scholar-Athlete Basketball Awards in 1999.  Selection is based on their achievements in the classroom, the community, and on the basketball court.  The following girls were honored as their leagues' scholar-athletes for last season

Purpose of this event is to recognize area high school athletes and their achievements in the classroom, community, and on the basketball court

Guidelines for Selection

• A senior female basketball player who has made a significant contribution to her basketball program

• Demonstrates a high standard of academic achievement

• Has shown good citizenship and moral character

• Demonstrates sportsmanship and leadership ability
