Final Exams EES
HANDBOOK LINK 2023-2024
Do I need to take the exam?
Earth & Environmental Science is a required course for graduation. It has a 'teacher-made' final exam rather than a state-made final exam. Whether or not you need to take the exam depends on your F1 grade and semester absences:
GRADE A with 8 or fewer absences- exempt
GRADE B with 8 or fewer absences- exempt
GRADE C-F & anyone with 9 or more absences (*5 tardies &/or early dismissals = 1 absence)- mandatory testing
If I'm exempt do I have to come to school?
Students who are exempted from teacher-made exams will be forgiven this day under local school board policy and it will not count for or against you. Students are NOT allowed to check out and back in throughout the school day.
What is the exam worth?
Final Exams count 20% of your final course grade.
If you would like to take the exam to improve your grade, you may do so without penalty.
