PARKING

Arriving Early Enough Cars/Trucks/Handicap (WITHOUT TRAILERS)

If you get here in time, those with just a vehicle can turn left at the entrance and park anywhere from the competition area all the way to the trap field.  Look at the map on the Range Info Page.

Space is limited…  Once full, you’re going to the back overflow parking.

Trailers and Overflow (Unloading/Drop-off/Pick-up)

At clubhouse near entrance OR OTHER DESIGNATED AREA, those with trailers (golf cart or not) and overflow parkers can unload.  Unload everything including everyone but the driver.  It's an easy enough walk from the clubhouse to the competition area.  If you are unable to unload, we will have a trailer carrying people and equipment from the back parking lot.

The overflow vehicles and vehicles with trailers must park in the back parking lot.  Keep going until you think I lied to you.

gravel parking area is on the right as the dirt road goes left.  A shuttle will pick you up and bring you to the clubhouse / competition area and return you at the end of the day.

EVERYTHING IS IN THE COMPETITION BAYS

Registration, side matches, vendors, food, big tent… everything.

RESTROOM FACILITIES

Port a john’s are available in the parking areas and the shooting area.

Real restrooms are available in the shotgun house next to the competition bays and at the main clubhouse.

SIDEMATCHES

Instructions for the Wild Bunch and Black Powder matches are in the book.

All other side matches are in the bay with the tent and vendors.

BUY POKER SHOOT TARGETS IN THE SIDE MATCH AREA.  

Annie Oakley challenge is FREE!  WITH OUR GUN AND AMMO.

SHOOTING

Flight and stage voting ends January 31.  EVERYONE WORKS.  NO ONE CHEATS.  NO ONE GETS HURT.  EVERYONE HAS A GOOD TIME.  I DON’T HAVE A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN.  There are carports and umbrellas in every bay.  We shoot regardless of weather.

WE ARE TWO FLIGHTS THIS YEAR.  SMALL POSSES... MORNING AND AFTERNOON FLIGHTS.

LUNCH/MEAL

The plan is to shoot the 5 stages straight through.  Southern Smoke will stay as long as we need them.  So before or after you shoot you can eat, buy some stuff from the vendors, shoot some fun side match stuff and hang out.

COMPETITION RULES AND COMMUNICATION

SASS rules apply.  Each stage will have a plastic box with the timer, spotting sticks, a Bushwhack book, extra batteries, and a walkie talkie with a channel identified.  If you need help, call for help.  Every issue must be settled while you are on that stage.  Once you move on, you have moved on.  The SCORING PAD IS THE OFFICIAL SCORE.  The paper copies are only in case we have an electronic apocalypse.  VERIFY YOUR SCORE WITH SCORE KEEPER BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STAGE, if you care.  I am very unsympathetic to arguments over pieces of paper hours after the fact.  Take your scoring book and pad… leave everything else on the stage.  PAINT THE TARGETS AFTER YOU SHOOT.

GUNCLUB RULES

Slow your butt down driving around the club.  The club will remain open during the match.  We will have visitors.  Drive like your grandchildren were playing on the road.  There is no alcohol consumption on the Belton Gun Club grounds, so please show some discretion, please...  Put your trash in appropriate cans… they are everywhere.

CRITICAL SHOOTER’S BAG STUFF AND LUNCH

Free lunch for shooters Friday and Saturday.  LUNCH TICKETS ARE IN YOUR BAG.  You may buy extra meals directly from the vendor.

The Bushwhack book is in the bag.

RAFFLES AND GIVEAWAYS

Most prizes are door prizes... including guns and ammo.  But we do have an Annie Oakley Challenge Gun and the 50/50 Poker Shoot.

COSTUME CONTEST

Everyone is in the costume contest.  Judges will be walking around during the shoot.  

FRIDAY LATE AFTERNOON MAGIC/MENTALISM SHOW

For those interested, I’ll be doing a little magic/mind reading show in the big tent on Friday around 5:00 PM… give or take some time.  Hope you can join me.  I promise an interesting show… my other big hobby.
