With YAMM, you have the possibility to send emails to specific recipients via two methods: With filters from Google Sheets, and/or by adding a '0' under the 'Merge status' column from your spreadsheet.
You can use both techniques. However, we would recommend to follow the first method (with the filters), as this feature is now available in YAMM and is easier to use.
You can choose the recipients that will receive your email simply by filtering the rows from your spreadsheet.
The following example shows that we want to send an email only to people who have replied in the past:
After filtering on 'Yes', YAMM will notify you and make sure that only the filtered rows will be processed:
When you go back to your spreadsheet and remove the filters, you will see the mention 'EMAIL_SENT' only on previously filtered rows (3, 5 & 6), which indicates that YAMM has correctly skipped the other recipients:
If it doesn’t exist yet, add a column named 'Merge status' in your Sheet and add a '0' for all the rows that should be skipped.
In the picture above, an email will be sent for row 3 but not for rows 2 & 4.
Also note that the rows with the tags 'EMAIL_SENT', 'EMAIL_OPENED', 'EMAIL_CLICKED' or 'UNSUBSCRIBED' already applied will be skipped as well.
You'll see a notification if we find rows that should be skipped.
