Bounce messages / Failure to deliver / Spams

You should receive a bounce message from Gmail, exactly like when you are sending messages to erroneous email addresses through the standard Gmail UI.

When this happens to a small amount of your recipients, it probably means that their addresses are not valid anymore. Best would be to simply clean your database.

However, if you notice that a high amount of your emails have been bounced back to your inbox and/or if you get an automatic message with the 'error 550', you might have been blacklisted by a spam filter.

If you made sure that you didn't sent a large number of emails, and that your domain has a valid SPF (for Google Apps users), this issue might come from our tracker.

To avoid being blacklisted for no valid reasons, you need to resend your emails only* to the recipients that didn't receive your emails (rows 5, 6 & 8 in our example) by deleting the mention that was there (either 'EMAIL_SENT' or 'EMAIL_OPENED') (1). Start the mail merge again, and disable the tracker (2):

Unfortunately, you won't be able to track if emails have been opened or not anymore, but at least your ensure that your messages will be correctly delivered. We are working on improving our tracking system so that you can use it without being reported unfairly as a spammer.

* Don't delete for those who did receive, otherwise they will get the email twice!
