· Classroom – The classroom part of the class is broken into 8 Modules, or Units, that teach habits of risk prevention.

· Behind-the-Wheel – The student will drive and observe in the car with a Drive Instructor. During the drives, the students will practice implementing the concepts discussed in the classroom portion of the class. Each student completes 6 two-hour driving sessions.

· At-Home – Students are required to practice at least 10 hours with DMV qualified (see next question) adult outside of class. This practice is required to be guided practice, not just get in the car and drive. Students will also be given homework and reading to be done outside of class. It is encouraged that students discuss driving and what he or she learns in class and Behind-the-Wheel with parents and guardians.

5. Does my student have to be present for all classes?
