There is a public meeting at the Fish and Game rooms, Richard Pearse Drive, this Thursday at 7.30pm. There will be two guest speakers as well speaking about game birds and fly fishing in the tropics.
Good luck for the new season everybody! Remember to check your club card for events and competitions.
A good day out for the trip to the Waitaki lakes. Eleven people attended, 5 fish caught and three released. Heaviest bag was won by Malcolm Lurajud.
Following on from the AGM, the Rangitata hut has still not sold. This hut has run at a significant loss for the last few years. The loss last year was approximately $2000. While selling the hut will obviously stop this, we remain running a loss in the meantime.
To help offset this loss, the club will again run a raffle this year. All club members should hear about this soon and we really need everyone to get behind this.
Hi everyone. Attached should be the Presidents report. hit the download button below to grab it.

At the last committee meeting (January 2012), it was agreed that the Rangitata hut would be put up for sale. A sub committee has been asked to commission a real estate agency to begin this process. The most likely method will be by tender.
We will endeavour to keep members updated about the process through the Rangitata Hut section of this website.

Fish and game have asked the club to survey anglers about the state of
their favourite local rivers.
The goal of all this is to gather some support for a submission about
water flow levels.
While the survey asks about flows, the real issue is about how you
feel about the rivers, do they still provide what you need from them,
are you satisfied with them, what is important about the rivers to
you. Instructions about returning the form are on it.
Please take the time to complete the survey. Feel free to pass it onto
anyone who you think wants to say something about the state of the
rivers. It is your chance to be represented and achieve some change!
