Southern Connecticut Ancestry Network

(SCAN)

Southern Connecticut Ancestry Network (SCAN) is a genealogical society that is based in Hamden, CT. The group's members generally either live in, or have family roots in, New Haven County and/or the surrounding towns in south central Connecticut. Our research interests are global and include many different parts of the United States and other countries. Anyone interested in genealogy, or even thinking about starting, is invited to come to our meetings and/or join SCAN.

See the SCAN Membership page for information on joining SCAN.

See the Meetings page for more information about upcoming meetings.

After a brief recess, SCAN is resuming meetings at 7 pm on the second Tuesday of the month through ZOOM. If you are a member, you will receive an email invite for the next meeting.

We hope to resume meeting in person sometime over the next year at the Hamden Miller Senior Center at the back of the Hamden Miller Memorial Central Library at 2901 Dixwell Ave in Hamden, CT.

We will be providing information for researching your family tree in Connecticut on the Resources page. Also, visit the Links page for a listing of other genealogy and historical groups in Connecticut.
