Evaluation Policy

The performance of a student will be assessed through two Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT I & CAT II), two quizzes (QUIZ I & QUIZ II), assignments, seminars/projects etc. which will be followed by a Semester End Examination (SEE). Each CAT exam will be conducted for 90 minutes and for a maximum of 50 marks. The marks, scored by students for 50, are converted to a scale of 15. A Term End Examination for 3 hours will be conducted for a maximum of 100 marks.

At the end of the semester, each student is assigned a ‘Letter Grade’ based on his/her performance over the semester in all the assessments carried out in that course. The letter grade and its ‘Grade Point’ indicate the results of both qualitative and quantitative assessment of student’s performance in the course.

A student is declared to have passed in the Course only if he/she meets the following three conditions:
