Welcome to RAHS Junior Literature. This course uses literary selections including novels, poetry, memoirs, correspondence, journals, diaries, music, film, art and more to explore and enjoy the techniques and styles of American Literature while deepening our understanding of American history and culture.
Reading Requirements: Be prepared to read every day, including weekends and holidays. Daily reading is an intellectual habit of the best minds, and is essential to success in this course. You are expected to have assigned readings completed prior to class every day.
Buying Books: The required books for each unit are listed below below. It is required that you purchase the books in paper form, not electronic, and you are expected to have the current book with you in class every day.
I recommend Half Price Books and www.thriftbooks.com as good sources for cheap used books, but supplies are limited and delivery can be slow, so order soon!
Submit homework online: Make sure to save your work in the correct folder, and include your name in the document and in the filename
