FOR RESCUES

Save A Pet, Inc., Forsyth, Georgia's only no-kill shelter, is launching a new program called Reading for Rescues. To kick things off, an orientation will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm, to introduce you to our program.

We welcome any age, from 5 to 105, to come and read to our shelter dogs. Just hearing the sound of your voice offers comfort to our homeless pups. We hope that their socialization with the public will improve their chances for adoption.

Our dogs are good listeners, so children will get to work on their reading skills without any peer pressure. It's also a great bonding experience for the parent and child. For adult readers, it's a perfect stress reliever and a great excuse

to get out of the house and make a new friend!

We have lots of books with different reading levels for you to choose from. You can always bring your own book, too!

The deadline to register for the orientation is August 25th. If you and your child – or just you – are interested in attending, please email your name, address and phone number to brendasap933@gmail.com. If you don’t have access to the internet, please call 478-994-3882 to reserve a spot. If you're unable to come September 3rd, just give us a call and we'll work with you.
