Multi-Sensory Learning

My name is Sarah Estes & I am a school-based SLP. I work with many students with developmental delays and language impairments who struggle to learn information that is presented verbally. I have created PowerPoints and documents that add visual stimuli to help these children attach meaning to the things they hear. I hope you find my site helpful. In the past, my school used Storytown for its Language Arts curriculum. The program stresses vocabulary & teaches "Robust Vocabulary" in the context of the weekly stories. You'll find numerous materials on this site using visual strategies to support the comprehension & retention of the Robust Vocabulary. Although it is no longer used in my school district, I kept the content on this site since other districts still use it and may benefit from the work I have already done.
