Associate Professor
Fordham University
Hello! I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and am affiliate faculty in Integrative Neuroscience and Latin American and Latino Studies.
I also direct the Applied Linguistics and Bilingualism lab at Fordham, which conducts research on how the mind and brain learn and process multiple languages.
My research has been funded by an Early Career Research Grant from Language Learning a National Science Foundation fellowship, and an APS Franklin Research Grant.
News on some of my work and my lab is here. And here is my lab website
I earned my Ph.D. from Georgetown University under the mentorship of Drs. Cristina Sanz and Michael Ullman. Following Georgetown, I completed postdoctoral training with Dr. Janet van Hell in Psychology at Penn State and worked within Penn State's Center for Language Science and the Bilingualism and Language Development Lab.
