My artwork covers a variety of different things: observation, things from memory, things from the mind, the fantastical, the future, and the present. My style shifts and changes. I am constantly observing and learning, enjoying a certain balance between stylization and realization, playing with colors and light, with texture and feel. Feeling is very important in many of my works, often influenced by my emotions at the time, or my attitude about the world, but they can be just fueled by the need to create.
My main idea behind my art, besides just the act of creating, is either to explore or to express. For this part of the semester I have been exploring different and new mediums, trying out a lot of new things, and new styles while trying to hone my art skills. And as I have continued, hone in on the theme for my work for the rest of the semester. I've found myself getting intrested in concepts and scenes, landscapes and such with intresting aspects and environmental storytelling. And its this storytelling and worldbuilduing aspect I want to focus on. An nvironment or scene (action or calm) that makes you think, "Whats going on here, whats the story behind this?"
