Dr. Sankhadeep Chatterjee is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Technology, University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, India. He received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India. He received an M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, West Bengal, India (First Class, 2017). He completed his B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly Known as West Bengal University of Technology) in 2015. He received the Post Graduate Fellowship during his Master of Technology (2015 - 2017) studies. He was awarded a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Govt. of India in 2021. 

His research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Metaheuristics, and Image Processing. He has attended International Conferences and has published more than 60 research works in reputed International Journals/Conferences including 4 book chapters. He acted as a regular reviewer in reputed International Journals including IEEE Transactions on Big Data, IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Trends in Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning Journal, IEEE Access, Expert Systems with Applications, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Journal of Experimental & Theoretical Artificial Intelligence. He acted as a Co-Convener / Organizing Member / Reviewer of International Conferences including FICTA, FSDM - 2017, SmartCom 2017, Optronix - 2017, FSDM - 2018, CIPR - 2023, AdComSys - 2024  and AdComSys - 2025.
