I am an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University, since 2020.
I obtained my PhD in Operations Management from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. Previously, I completed my B.S. and M.S. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
One of my main research interests is in sustainable operations and supply chain management studying how firms can address environmental and social sustainability challenges. A particular interest of mine is on the problem of supply chain emissions, i.e., Scope 3 emissions focusing on how firms can cooperate to measure and mitigate them.
Another stream of my research focuses on retail operations management, examining the value of coordination in assortment, fulfillment, and pricing decisions. More broadly, my work explores how cooperation across organizational boundaries can lead to more effective and responsible operations.
In parallel, I have collaborated on data analytics and sustainability projects with several organizations including Best Buy Canada, Lululemon, Procurify, Partage Club, Volvo, and Lighthouse Labs. My broader interest in urban sustainability has also led me to serve on the City of Vancouver’s Transportation Advisory Committee and on the board of the non-profit Green Teams of Canada.
