In 1994, with the band Clessidra, he won the San Marino Festival and met Lucio Dalla. He signed his first contract as a singer and, for four years, worked with Dalla’s record label, recording the CD “Combinazioni” for Pressing/BMG, collaborating with him on a couple of albums, touring throughout Italy, and performing as the opening act for the great artist’s concerts. At the dawn of the new millennium, the band disbanded.
In 2003, Mauro Malavasi—producer for artists such as Carboni, Pausini, Bocelli, Dalla, and many others—had the intuition to let singer Lisa listen to a song titled “Oceano.” The song was presented at the Sanremo Festival, where it placed sixth and achieved notable success in Italy. In the USA, however, David Foster and Josh Groban were deeply impressed by the song and included it in Groban’s second album, “Closer.” The album sold over 8 million copies worldwide.
This marked the beginning of a cycle that led to further successes together with Malavasi and composer Leo Z, including “Dell’amore non si sa,” sung by Andrea Bocelli and used as the soundtrack for an INA Assitalia commercial; “Mai,” again recorded by Josh Groban; and “L’assenza,” performed by Karine Carusi. Hayley Westenra (Celtic Woman) later re-recorded “Dell’amore non si sa” on her album “Odyssey,” as a duet with Bocelli. Ilaria Porceddu performed “Oceano” on X Factor and included it on her debut album.
In 2010 came the meeting with publisher and producer Arcangelo Tomasello of ARTMUSICRECORDS in Hannover, marking the start of a fruitful collaboration. Together they produced the debut album of artist and tenor Alessandro Rinella, released in Germany in April 2014 under the title “Canterò per te.” The album includes the tracks “Smile,” “Respirar amor,” “Orma d’amore,” “L’assenza,” and “Always.”
In May 2016, the first digital original single by singer-songwriter Denny Franco, “Semplice Vita,” was released, written and produced together with Luigi Patruno. With Patruno, at Crescendo Studio in Bari, further artistic productions for young artists began.
In July 2017, the debut single by JO PENTA (The Voice 2016), “Lontano da qui,” was released and broadcast on many Italian local radio stations, in collaboration with Red & Blu of Bologna, led by Marco Stanzani. The collaboration continued with the release of “Seychelles” (April 2019) and “Notte d’agosto” (September 2019), available on all digital platforms, with videos on YouTube.
In 2018 began the collaboration with Lucanian singer Mauro Tummolo, known as MODNA. Together they released “È Natale” in December 2018 and “Tutta la notte” in July 2019, a song that surpassed 170,000 streams on Spotify. Another single, “Pianeti diversi,” released on November 18, 2019, was produced by Walter Babbini (Nyat) and featured guitarist Chicco Gussoni and bassist Mario Guarini (both longtime collaborators of Claudio Baglioni and other major artists), exceeding 110,000 Spotify streams. In May 2020, MODNA’s fourth single, “Certe Promesse,” written together with Tummolo and Annabella Leone (RNS Rome), surpassed 100,000 streams on Spotify and placed fourth at the Palco d’Autore competition in Salerno on August 17, 2020.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, a song in support of the city of Bari titled “Siamo noi” was created together with several local artists, co-written with Beppe Bonasia and Jo Penta. On January 4, 2021, “L’inverno dentro” by MODNA was released, written with Mauro Tummolo in collaboration with Jo Penta. In May, a new collaboration began with emerging singer SAM, leading to the release of the single “Posso fare di meglio.” Two additional unreleased songs for Tummolo followed: “Io ti conosco da sempre” and “Ogni tua carezza.”
The year 2021 closed with SAM’s single “Sul filo del tempo” and MODNA’s “Ti porterò a Parigi.” In March 2022, SAM released a new single on all digital platforms titled “Istanbul,” while MODNA released the CD “La mia seconda pelle,” collecting all previously released singles along with two new tracks. In 2022, two more singles were released: “Tra le mie braccia” with SAM and “Dentro questo universo” with MODNA.
Throughout 2023, 2024, and 2025, new original songs continued to be released with SAM and MODNA.
