I work on political, legal, and social philosophy. I am particularly interested in issues concerning global justice, social justice, international law, and human rights. I have published articles on the right to adequate food, our shared responsibility for refugees, Kant's cosmopolitan theory, international human rights law, and the nature of international law. I am currently working on free speech and the problem of online harassment, a comprehensive responsibility-sharing approach to refugee justice, the right to water, and the role of compassion and hope in addressing global justice issues.
I am also interested in Buddhist philosophy. I have been practicing Zen Buddhism for many years.
