box design by Arnold Tubis

The Greater San Diego Origami Group is an organization of origami enthusiasts devoted to the art of paper folding. Its mission is to share the joy of paper folding, nurture its growth, bring people together and encourage community among paper folders.

The group was founded in the early 1990s by the late Florence Temko (a prolific author of books on origami and other arts) and the late V’Ann Cornelius (who co-curated Origami Masterworks, one of the first major museum-based origami exhibitions in the world, at Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park, and was internationally known for her innovations in the display of origami art).
