Current research interests:

1.  Interaction of alkali metal ions with phospholipid membranes

2.  Interaction of mono-valent anions with cationic lipid vesicles: A potential candidates for carriers of drug and gene delivery. 

3.  Detection of lipid type or phase state using fluorescence spectroscopy techniques.

4. Interaction of antimicrobial peptide and disease protein with phospholipid membranes

5.  Electrostatics of charged lipid membranes.

Apart from biomembranes, our research group is also carrying out the following projects:

1.  Ion-beam interaction of solid polymer electrolytes and polymer-nano composite system. 

2. Electrical properties of solid polyelectrolyte film (SPF)

3.  Pattern formation of liquid crystal droplets

4.  Micro-rheology based on dynamic light scattering

5.  Rheology of soft matter system.
