I am an Assistant Professor (RTD-B) and Adjunct Professor of  Political Economy in the Department for Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition at the University of Piemonte Orientale (UPO), Vercelli, Italy.

In addition, I collaborate as a research associate with the Economic and Social Research Institute of Piedmont (IRES Piemonte) in Turin; and the Fondazione per la Scuola in Turin. 

My research primarily focuses on counterfactual impact evaluation, public policy analysis, labor and social policies, and innovation policies.  

I serve as the Principal Investigator for the project "New perspectives on the nuclear issue in Italy" (NECESSITY) (2023-2025), funded by the European Commission - NextGeneration EU and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. I am also a member of the research team for the "Preparedness for society in health crises and disasters" (PREPSHIELD) (2024-2027) project, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe program.
