Four officers of Samuel Doak Chapter, NSDAR, met on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at First United Methodist Church’s prayer garden, in Morristown, Tennessee. Kathy ward-Mouser, Regent; Amy Aarons, First Vice Regent; Linda Triplett, Chaplain; and Charlotte McEntire, Librarian, offered prayers of gratitude for the founding of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1890 and for its incorporation by Congress in 1896. They asked God for His gracious hand to continue on our nation, our military, our police and first responders, and the health workers in our communities.
This observance is held each year to not only observe the NSDAR Day of Prayer but also our NSDAR Day of Service. Volunteer service is a cornerstone of DAR'S Mission, and we diligently seek those who have ancestors who served in the Revolutionary War.
