Over the past 18 years it has been a privilege to pursue my interest in animal care by serving as a volunteer with a variety of animal welfare organizations in BC. These include the Vancouver BC SPCA (dog walking); Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary (parrot care); Wildlife Rescue Association (transport of injured or sick wildlife); Vancouver Animal Shelter (dog walking, obedience training, fundraising).
My education in animal care also includes completion of the Animal Welfare Certificate Program, via Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, and the St. John's Ambulance, Pet First Aid course.
In February 2018, my wife Janis jumped onboard. She brings with her decades of devoted pet ownership (feline & canine), along with volunteer experience at the Richmond BC SPCA, working with cats and rabbits, and has completed the ProPetHero First Aid Training & CPR For Pets.

Below is a list of the services we provide, along with our rates.* References are available, and I welcome you to visit our home and pets to get acquainted.
Cat Sitting - Daily Drop-In to your home - $25.00 per visit. Your feline is given fresh food, water, TLC, and the litterbox cleaned daily. We'll also bring in your mail and provide you with updates.
$5.00 for each additional cat.
Dog Boarding (2 small dogs max.): $25.00 per 24 hrs for 1 dog; $50.00 for 2 dogs. Your dog stays in our home in Trail with our Chihuahua, Pablo. Includes two 20 minute walks per day, and lots of love. Our rates go down by 10% if your dog stays with us longer than 14 days, and if you live within 5 kilometers of downtown Trail we can drop your pet off when you return home, at no additional cost.
Dog Daycare - $25.00 per day - Your pooch stays in our home, and gets one walk, and as many bathroom breaks as needed in our fenced yard. We are not restrictive in our drop off and pickup times, and provide this service between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Small Animals/Birds: $15.00 per 24 hrs in our home.
* If you live between 5 km and 10 km from downtown Trail there is an additional $5.00 fee per round trip to cover mileage costs. More than 10 km and the round trip charge increases to 75 cents per kilometer.
