Welcome! I am a mathematician working in algebraic and enumerative combinatorics, with connections to finite fields, geometry, representation theory, and cryptography. I use symmetric functions and related combinatorial structures to study a range of counting problems. A substantial part of my work concerns matrices, finite general linear groups, and subspaces over finite fields, including questions originating in cryptography as well as work on adjoint orbits and point counts for Hessenberg and orbital varieties. I am particularly interested in concrete enumerative questions. Across these topics, I am interested in uncovering structural links between algebraic objects and concrete combinatorial models.
