Welcome! I am an Associate Professor in the department of mathematics at IIIT Delhi. I obtained my Ph.D. in mathematics at IIT Bombay under the supervision of Sudhir Ghorpade. My thesis was entitled 'Singer cycles, Coprime polynomials, Hankel matrices over Finite Fields and Arithmetic Progressions in Unique Factorization Domains'. After a brief stint at the Indian Statistical Institute, I spent a year at the Institut de Mathématiques de Marseille (Aix-Marseille University) on an Archimedes postdoctoral fellowship working with Gilles Lachaud. Subsequently, I held postdoctoral positions at the Indian Institute of Science and the Harish-Chandra Research Institute.

In my early work, the primary focus was on enumeration problems arising in cryptography that involve counting points in varieties over finite fields and, in particular, a problem of Niederreiter on splitting subspaces. More recently, I have become interested in enumerative and algebraic combinatorics in the setting of finite fields. Of particular interest is the theory of symmetric functions which I find quite fascinating.

My papers are here.
