SMP Scholarship

SMP Post President Award Scholarships will be awarded to two graduating high school seniors who have participated in the SAME Omaha Post’s Student Mentoring Program (SMP). This is a renewable scholarship if renewal applications are completed each year and the requirements continue to be met. The scholarships are $2,500/year for the awardees for up to four years. The maximum scholarship amount, including renewals, is $10,000.

SAME Camps 

Each year, SAME’s Engineering & Construction Camps provide unmatched opportunities for high school students—hands-on activities, real-world problem-solving, and mentoring professionals in military engineering and the A/E/C fields. 

• Camps last one week and range from $100 – $800.Scholarships for campers are available.

• Camps are offered at five locations/bases.

• Lodging and all meals provided.

• Camps held in June and July; all are overnight camps.

Don’t miss the deadline! Applications for SAME’s STEM/Engineering & Construction Camps close March 11, 2026. Students will engage in hands-on engineering and construction activities under the mentorship of SAME professionals and volunteers from the local engineering community.
