Student Mentoring Program Scholarship

The SMP Post President Award Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating High School senior participating in the SAME Omaha Post’s Student Mentoring Program (SMP), or similar school-sponsored engineering/architectural activities, or a college student enrolled in an engineering/architectural program. This is a renewable scholarship, assuming renewal applications are completed, and the requirements continue to be met. The Scholarship is $2000/year for the awardee for up to five years (assuming renewal criteria are met). Any student's maximum scholarship amount, including renewals, is $10,000. Applications for SMP Scholarship Renewals are due: February 1st

Separate from the SMP Post President’s Award scholarship there are other SAME Omaha Post Scholarships. These scholarship are available to high school seniors that are SMP participants. SAME Camps Highlights

STEM/Engineering & Construction Camps offer high school students interested in a highly unique STEM experience the chance to spend a week at a military base learning engineering, construction and design, while developing leadership skills and discovering the potential of a career in STEM. 

• Camps last one week and range from $100 – $800.Scholarships for campers are available.

• Camps are offered at five locations/bases.

• Lodging and all meals provided.

• Camps held in June and July; all are overnight camps.
