I hold a PhD in Economics and have 8 years of research experience in program evaluations. Post PhD, I worked as a Research Economist (postdoc) first at the National University of Singapore and then at New York University Abu Dhabi (currently based in New York). Thus far, my research has been on evaluating educational interventions and schooling behavior in the slums of Dhaka, Bangladesh, using high quality data I collected myself. I led 2 large scale household surveys in Bangladeshi slums, which bears testimony to my skills in project management, survey design and questionnaire design. Having presented our research at numerous US and international conferences, I am a confident public speaker adept at communicating clearly to a diverse audience. After growing my quantitative and analytical skills in academia, I am now eager to extend these skills doing more impactful research. I am looking for opportunities where I can continue to do research while engaging in interdisciplinary greater team work, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
