Intro to Sailing

In early February 2026, The Villages Sailing Club conducted an Introduction to Sailing Course for our novice members.  To participate in other offerings of this course, you must be a member of the club (membership open only to residents/renters of The Villages).  See the home page of our website for more information on joining.

The goal of the course was to ensure that all club members can safely work as active crew when sailing on club member’s boats.

There was no charge, but a nominal contribution was accepted to help the Lake Eustis Youth Sailing Foundation. 

Time Commitment:

• Two-hour classroom session

• Four-hour hands-on session at Lake Miona
