Spaghetti Feeds and End of Season Banquet

Thank you for hosting a spaghetti feed party at your home!  It is a great social opportunity and bonding experience for the whole team.

Responsibilities

As Host, please provide the following information to the Spaghetti Feed Lead by the Tues evening before the party ...

This info should be e-mailed to Shirley Lord at thepainterlady@alaska.net so it can be posted on the website. The side dishes, bread, drink and dessert assignments (skiers bring to the party) will be posted by the Booster Club on the website.

Don’t Worry, You Won’t Be Alone

At least two parent helpers will have volunteered to help you with the feed.  They should be responsible for the pasta and you are responsible for the spaghetti sauce.  If amongst yourselves you want to divvy the responsibilities differently, that is fine.  The Booster Club will supply paper plates & napkins, as well as real utensils.  (We are trying to do our part to keep the trash to a minimum.)  Reimbursement for supplies is available if you want to turn in receipts.  Please return any unused items and clean utensils to the blue tote. The Spaghetti Feed Lead will contact you to coordinate getting the bin to you before the party and picking it up after the party.

A Rule of Thumb

Each pasta cooker should plan on boiling at least 4 – one pound packages of pasta.  Cook ahead of time, drain, toss with a little olive oil and put into gallon size Ziploc bags.  Noodles can easily be reheated in a pot of boiling water at the spaghetti feed.

Two large crock-pots of meat sauce (meatballs are a big hit) and a small pot of vegetarian sauce should be enough to feed the masses.

Any questions, please contact the Spaghetti Feed Lead ... Shirley Lord (home 345-9244, thepainterlady@alaska.net)
