Child Care Services

Welcome to La Sagezza's Child Development Center (CDC)! Since 1938, CDC has provided a high quality early childhood program for children from 3 to 6 years of age. Children study their world by questioning, hypothesizing, and summarizing information on how the world works. The University community is a rich primary source of discovery for the children.

The Child Development Center is an inclusive laboratory and demonstration school at La Sagezza University, whose mission is to:

1. Educate and care for young children in a developmentally appropriate manner.
2. Prepare and train university students for careers in education and other related professions focused on children.
3. Support and facilitate research on child development and related fields by serving as a research and observation facility.

What We Offer

• Year-round preschool education and child care for children 2 to 5 years old, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Full-time and part-time schedules available
  • Highly experienced, degreed staff
  • State-approved core curriculum
• Free evening child care available for grant students for ages 3-12, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Registration and Rates

Like the college, the Child Development Center runs on a term schedule. Registration is $50 per term (fall, spring and summer). A one-week tuition deposit is required and will be applied to your last week of the contract. Registration contracts must be filled out in the center. Preregistration is required for all programs. Need-based, partial scholarships for child care are available. Call the center for information and an application.
