Rainstorm, Rainstorm II, Blizzard, Windy City
These are powerful well made guns with excellent accuracy, fit and finish. They have quality choked barrels and are usually very accurate with a variety of pellets as long as the velocity is matched to the pellet weight. Recommended .22 pellets are JSB 25 gr. Monster, Kodiaks, and JSB 18 gr. The new JSB Jumbo Monster "Redesigned" are now my favorite giving excellent long range accuracy. The shroud is short and the gun is powerful so it is fairly noisy. The upgraded internals are durable and cut the noise by about 7 dba. Still may not be "backyard friendly" enough for some folks. If you need quiet get my extended length CF shroud below. The .25 cal guns are about 50 fpe, but can be boosted up. They usually shoot JSB .25 gr. Benjamin Domes, and JSB 33 gr. best.
Full Tune with noise suppression system in the factory shroud. Replace shroud internals with precision turned baffles and add a rearward air diverter. Vent muzzle shroud support for better air flow. Late models have no venting of factory shroud support bushing rendering the rear shroud non-operational and needs the muzzle machined to accept a custom vented bushing. Report is reduced, but still fairly noisy. Install machined depinger in airtube, complete trigger job, bush up hammer spring guide for proper fit, machine poppet return spring seat, install externally adjustable transfer port screw on RHS of the receiver if needed. Set power level to customer specs over chrony. No need to send the stock. Full Tune $250 plus shipping.
3” (or more if requested) Longer 100% Full Length Carbon Fiber 1" OD shroud and Full Tune. Beauty and Function. (Sound level comparable to Marauder of same caliber). Includes the Full Tune work: trigger job, air tube depinger, machine poppet return spring seat, external transfer port adjuster if needed, bush up hammer spring guide to fit, set velocity over chrony. $400 plus shipping.
Call for regulator information if you are considering adding this option.
.357 Caliber - call for details as these can vary from the small bores. Power increase requires internal modifications. Factory diameter shroud extensions can reduce noise, but are definitely not "backyard friendly". This is especially true of the .357 as the shroud only overhangs the barrel muzzle by about 2" and barrel diameter leaves no significant space in the rear of the shroud to handle air blast. For the .357 I recommend a larger diameter screw on LDC that attaches to the factory shroud in place of the shroud endcap. I do not supply these, but there are aftermarket sources that do.
Foster Fill Conversion. Replaces whole end of tube fill assembly. Uses Crosman Foster Fill male with integral fill check with aluminum screw on cap. $150.
