I am director of research at The Budget Lab.
Prior to starting at Budget Lab in 2026, I was assistant vice president for applied research in the community development division at the Minneapolis Fed. In 2024, I was a senior economist at the Council of Economic Advisers. From 2016 to 2020, I was a fellow in Economic Studies at the Brookings Institution and policy director for the Hamilton Project.
