Basketball Rules

RVAL uses the NFHS rules for basketball with the following exceptions:

• Each game consists of two 16 minute halves.

• Each team is allowed 5 timeouts per game (three 60 second and two 30 second).

• No shot clock is used, but there is a 10 second count to cross half court.

NFHS rules are not available for free online but they are available for purchase on their site.
