About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in theĀ  Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University. I got my B.S. degree in 2012 from the School of Mathematical Sciences (Yuanpei Program), Peking University. I graduated in 2016 from the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, UNC at Chapel Hill, under the supervision of Professor Amarjit Budhiraja. After graduation, I was a postdoctoral research associate in the Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University, mentored by Professor Paul Dupuis. From 2018 to 2020, I was a Byrne research post-doctoral assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of Michigan, working with Professor Erhan Bayraktar.

My research interests lie in probability and its applications. In particular, I am interested in weakly interacting particle systems, moderate and large deviations (with applications in rare events simulation), random graphs, uncertainty quantification, queuing theory, and mean-field games.

I am co-organizing the Analysis and Probability Seminar (formerly known as PADS) at ISU.

My research is partially supported by the National Science Foundation DMS-2308120 (2023-2026) and Simons Foundation MP-TSM-00002346 (2023-2028).
