Well my 22nd Chevron Houston Marthon was different- had to go virtual for 2021 (ie: run your own route & time on gps watch)- but the pain is still real 🙂
Bummed not to get to tour around htown course & cross the downtown finish line.
But it turned out great, 4 loops in Seabrook- I got to run with my friends & training buds.
Kerry Lee handled pacing, fluids, gels on a 15yr old bike w squeaking chain & minimal seat!
Leno Rios with traffic control, phone jukebox(eye of the tiger, iron man), camera man, motivational talks.
Xander picking up all the stuff we dropped- bottle caps are tough in the cold.
Sam Sanderson with pre race music, sweet dance moves & pacing.
Robert Milam just crankin a PR in the half... well deserved. Great day.
(Video was near the finish- I'm looking at watch to see if i've gone far enough... almost there...)
Vamos! 26.2 for Hou! pEaCe
