Dr. Rrushi lives in Metro Detroit, United States, with his wife Ilda and their three children, James, Kevin, and Noel.

Julian is a first generation college graduate. He is the son of an electrician and a nurse.

His life centers around computer science and engineering, his students, and his family. His hobbies include composing music and playing musical instruments (sometimes on weekends); physical exercises - running, weight lifting, and swimming (regularly almost every day); martial arts - muay thai and judo (regularly); visiting historical places (mostly in the summer); and recently archaeology (occasionally).
