RPRA Pool Reservations
One must be a member of the RPRA in order to rent the pool. Membership dues must be paid before one can request a party date.
To rent the pool,
1) Check the Calendar found on the "Home" page to make sure that your desired date is available. If you are unsure, skip to #2 below.
2) Email poolparties@outlook.com to let us know about the date you desire. Include your name, the date desired, the number of people you expect, and whether you have a lifeguard in mind for the event.
3) Once you know your date is available (as confirmed in an email response to #2, above) contact the lifeguard for your event. Please note that you will pay the lifeguard separately, in addition to the $100 fee for using the pool.
4) Fill out this Google Form: Pool Party Reservations. If you have any troubles filling it out, please email poolparties@outlook.com for assistance. You'll need lifeguard information to fill out this form completely.
5) Print out the Pool Party Agreement Form (linked here). Sign it, and then mail it with your payment to:
Riverside Park Recreation Association
PO Box 5637
Macon, GA 31208-5637
The memo line of the check should read “pool party" and the date of the party.
6) Please note that a reservation is not booked until all the forms and payment have been received.
7) Please plan early. If forms and payment are not turned at least ONE WEEK before the anticipated party date, you run the risk of not being able to reserve the pool.
If you have any questions, please email us at poolparties@outlook.com
A few reminders:
All requests are considered in the order that emails to poolparties@outlook.com are received.
If your party will include more than 25 swimmers, you will be required to hire a second lifeguard (Red Cross rules).
Please note that members are not allowed to have parties on holiday weekends. These have been marked as "busy" on the calendar already as as reminder. These holidays include Mothers' Day, Memorial Day, Fathers' Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
Only one party may be scheduled per weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all count as the same weekend. This policy ensures that all members have adequate opportunity to enjoy the pool. Weekend party times are from 6pm-10pm.
Only one party may be scheduled per Monday; these can be scheduled from either 2pm-6pm or 6pm-10pm.
After a party, the pool and pool area must be cleaned up, and the gate closed at 10pm because the alarm is automatically set to come on at 10pm.
Please remember that all RPRA Board Members are Volunteers.
Thank you!
