I was born and raised on the island of Sardinia. Currently, I am an Associate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Pisa.  Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Professor of Linguistics at the University of Florence and an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the Georg-August University of Göttingen.

My major areas of interest are phonology, dialectology, and language variation with a special focus on minority languages.
