• • Updated the predictive algorithm for medical necessity review overturn, optimizing for cost savings.The identified sensitive features used a generalized linear model with L1 regularization a stratified cross-fold validation. The model was run using H2O with sparklyr on a Hadoop server. The classification threshold was selected as an identified node on a decision tree classifier created using the training set.

  • Developed a function in the medical necessity review flash report which pulls all relevant medical policies for the inquiry under review.

• • Leak detection in indoor copper piping systems using acoustic sensors (surface mounted microphone).Developed a test bed, data set and methodology enabling accurate classification of the state of the system. For this Mutual Information Theory was used to select the sensitive statistical features. OCSVM, k-means, GMM, and NN based approaches were reviewed and their classification accuracy were com-pared. Due to the separability of the identified feature set a GMM based methodology was recommended.
