I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. I also hold affiliate appointments in the Department of Data Science at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and Harvard Data Science Initiative.

I got my Ph.D. in biostatistics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021, where I was jointly advised by Professors T. Tony Cai and Hongzhe Li. After that, I was a postdoctoral scholar in statistics at Stanford University, advised by Professor David L. Donoho.

My research interest lies in the intersection of statistics and biomedical data science. My current research focuses on (i) statistical inference for large random matrices and high-dimensional models, (ii) theoretical and computational underpinning of modern nonlinear embedding techniques and manifold learning algorithms, and (iii) developing principled and interpretable machine learning methods for biomedical sciences, especially for single-cell integrative genomics and multiomics.
