Emergency Coverage
This page has general information about after-hours emergency coverage and coverage when I am away. It is updated with specific dates and providers when I am out of the office for an extended period of time, such as a vacation or out-of-town conference.
Emergency Coverage for Current/Active Patients: July 8-12, 2024
I am out of the office from Monday July 8 through Friday July 12, 2024, with little access to email.
While I am away, if you are current, established patient and have a **life-threatening emergency**:
1) If you have a medicating psychiatrist and they are available while I am away, that person should be your first call.
2) If you do NOT have a medicating psychiatrist, call Dr. Virginia Lindahl at 703-715-7242, who is providing emergency coverage. Leave a message for her and be sure include your phone number.
3) If she is not able to get back to you in the time in which you require, please call 9-1-1 or go to your closest hospital emergency room. DO NOT EMAIL IN AN EMERGENCY.
4) Messages regarding matters of routine business (inquiries about appointments, cancellations/reschedules) will be returned on Monday July 15 in the order in which they were received.
